Two people involved in Tuesday's pile-up on the M4 at Chippenham remain in a serious condition in hospital today.
Police have revealed the coach driver is in intensive care at Bristol's Frenchay Hospital, being treated for leg injuries.
A female car passenger is also in a ward at the hospital suffering from broken ribs, a broken collar bone and a punctured lung.
Her condition is described as comfortable and both her injuries, and those of the coach driver, are not life threatening.
Thirteen other people caught up in the crash, which happened on the eastbound carriageway at around 2am, are described as walking wounded.
They suffered cuts and bruises, whiplash and shock.
All were released from either Frenchay or Swindon's Great Western Hospital within 24 hours of the crash.
An investigation continues into what caused the pile-up.
