FROME Town brushed off memories of their previous Toolstation League Premier Division defeat to Dawlish Town with a 6-0 thrashing of Brislington at Badgers Hill on Saturday.
New Team Bath loan signings Lauris Coggin and Greg Lake started the match at left and right back respectively, and Lake had the debut every player dreams of.
In the first minute he hit a cross-shot into the top corner of the net for a stunning opening to his Frome career.
Joe Gomes made it 2-0 with a 25 yard effort midway through the half and just after the half hour he hit home a screaming strike from even farther out.
Gomes nearly had a hat-trick of long-range efforts moments later, but his fizzing drive hit the post, only for Mark Salter to turn in from close range.
Salter lobbed Nick Yeo to make it 5-0 after 65 minutes and soon after grabbed his hat-trick, slotting home a penalty after winning the spot kick himself.
Coggin and Greg Lake are on a one-month loan from Team Bath, as is Alex Smith, who did not take part in the Brislington game as he had pulled a muscle.
Frome continued their good form on Tuesday with a 2-0 win at Willand Rovers.
Mark Salter scored both goals in the first period, a header midway through the half and a volley after 35 minutes.
