Services of remembrance

From today young and old, civilians and veterans will gather to remember the fallen in services of remembrance across the county.
Here is the Gazette's guide to where you can honour the sacrifices made by so many:
TODAY
- Malmesbury: Poppy Appeal concert by Wroughton Silver Band, 7.30pm at Malmesbury Abbey. Tickets £5.
SUNDAY
- Aldbourne: 10.45am, Memorial Hall.
- Alton Barnes: 10.45am, St Mary’s Church.
- Avebury: 10.50am, St James’ Church.
- Axford: Evensong remembrance service 6pm, St Michael’s Church.
- Baydon: 10.45am, St Nicholas Church.
- Beechingstoke: 10.30am, St Stephen’s Church.
- Box: War memorial, 10.45am.
- Bremhill: 10.50am, St Martin’s Church.
- Brinkworth: St Michael & All Angels’ Church, 3pm.
- Broad Hinton: 10.50am, St Peter ad Vincula Church.
- Bromham: St Nicholas Church, 3pm, then parade to war memorial in churchyard.
- Burbage: 10.50am, All Saints’ Church.
- Calne: Parade will march through the High Street to St Mary’s Church at 9.30am for service at 10am.
- Calstone Wellington: St Mary the Virgin’s Church, 9.45am.
- Cherhill: St James’ Church, 9.30am.
- Chilton Foliat: 10.50am, St Mary’s Church.
- Chippenham: St Andrews church, 11am. The congregation will then lay wreaths at the cenotaph before the procession marches to the town council offices. Also a service at St Peter’s Church at
9.30am followed by the remembrance service at 11am. Service at Sheldon Road Methodist Church, 10.30am.
- Christian Malford: March will start at 10am at the war memorial through to All Saints Church.
- Chute: 10.45am, St Nicolas’ Church.
- Collingbourne Ducis: 10am, St Andrew’s Church.
- Colerne: Parade along the High Street at 10.30am and then there will be an act of remembrance at the war memorial followed by a service in St John The Baptist Church.
- Compton Bassett: St Swithin Church, 10am.
- Corsham: Parade, 10.25am from Somerfield car park. March to St Bartholomew’s led by Corsham Band, then service from 10.50am. Service at the same time for young people at the town hall. This
will be followed by an act of remebrance at the war memorial.
- Dauntsey: St James’ Church, 10.30am
- Derry Hill: War memorial, 10.55am followed by service at 11.15am at Christ Church.
- Devizes: Service at St John’s Church at 11am followed by wreath laying at war memorial in Long Street and march past town hall to the Market Place.
- East Kennett: 8am, Christ Church.
- Foxham: Evensong service, 6pm, St John the Baptist Church.
- Froxfield: 10.55am, All Saints’ Church.
- Gastard: St John’s Church, 10am.
- Grafton: 10.45am, St Nicholas’ Church.
- Great Bedwyn: 10.45am, St Mary’s Church followed at 12.30pm by act of Remembrance at the war memorial plaque in the Memorial playing field.
- Grittleton: St Mary’s Church, 10.45am.
- Heddington: St Andrew’s Church, 11.15am.
- Hilmarton: Family service, 10.55am, St Laurence Church.
- Kington Langley: St Peter’s Church, 10.45am.
- Lacock: St Cyriac’s Church, 10.15am, followed by an act of remembrance at the war memorial, 11am.
- Lyneham: St Michael and All Angels Church, 10.30am following a short parade.
- Malmesbury: 10.15am wreath laying ceremony at Memorial Gates; 2.30pm, Civic Service in Malmesbury Abbey including precession of the town council with a guard of honour by the Gurkhas.
- Manningfords: 9.30am, St Peter’s Church.
- Marlborough: Parade 10.30am from the High Street to St Mary’s Church for service 10.55am with Act of Remembrance at 11am. Service followed by wreath laying at the war memorial in New Road.
- Mildenhall: 10.30am, St John the Baptist Church.
- Milton Lilbourne: 10.45am, St Peter’s Church.
- Minety: 10.20am, wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial, followed by rememberance service at 10.55am at St Leonards Church.
- Neston: St Philips and St James Church, 10am, then at 11am the act of remembrance.
- Oare: 10.45am, Holy Trinity Church.
- Pewsey: 10.30am, St John the Baptist Church.
- Preshute: 10.45am, St George’s Church.
- Ramsbury: Assemble 10.30am in The Square to process to Holy Cross Church.
- Rowde: St Matthew’s Church, 3pm, then parade to war memorial in churchyard.
- Seend: Parade assembles outside Vicarage at 10.40am then march to war memorial to lay wreaths. Arrive at church in time for 11am.
- Shalbourne: 10.45am, St Michael and all Angels Church.
- Stanton St Bernard: 3pm, All Saints Church.
- Upavon: 10.30am, St Mary’s Church.
- West Lavington: Parade meets at White Street at 10.15am to march to All Saints Church for service at 10.45am.
- West Overton: 10.50am, St Michael and all Angels Church.
- Winterbourne Monkton: 10.50am, St Mary Magdalene Church.
- Woodborough: 10.45am, St Mary Magdalene Church.
- Wootton Bassett: United Reformed Church, 10.30am with a two minute silence at 11am. A parade will begin at 1.50pm from Ridgeway House. St Bartholomew’s Church, 3pm.
- Wroughton: Parish Church, 10am followed by a two- minute silence at the war memorial.
- Yatesbury: All Saint’s Church, 10.45am.
- Yatton Keynell: 10.15am, St Margaret’s Church.
TUESDAY
- Calne: Children’s service, St Mary’s Church, 10am.
- Great Bedwyn: 10.55am, war memorial in St Mary’s churchyard.
- Wootton Bassett: Wreath laying, 11am, war memorial.
