A MAN charged with burglary at a house where a pensioner was later murdered has been refused bail by a judge sitting at Winchester Crown Court.
John Wayne Wilkinson, 40, of Ford Lane, Ferndown, is charged with conspiracy to commit burglary at the Beech Grange home of Landford pensioner Reginald Baker on September 5 and a burglary at the same address on July 30.
Mr Baker, 75, was found dead at the house on September 5. He had been beaten to death.
Joby Barney, 24, of Ringwood Road, Alderholt, John Eli James, 18, and Daniel Coker, 19, both of The Brambles, Salisbury, and Trevor Gray, 19, of Blackfriars have been charged with murdering Mr Baker.
The four men remain in custody and will appear at Winchester Crown Court, along with Wilkinson, on December 18.
