Hayes to head AVR coaching

Alan Hayes has joined Avon Valley Runners to head the club’s coaching programme.

Hayes is a Level-2 endurance coach with many years of experience, both as an athlete and as a coach.

He will be working at the club’s Tuesday evening sessions in Trowbridge and will be starting formal coach led training in the New Year. Supporting him are Avon Valley’s five Level-1 coaches: Andrew Hoddinott, Chris Atkinson, Julia Drewitt, Jo Mumford and Darren Wrintmore. Membership of Avon Valley Runners now stands at 200, with members of all abilities attending club sessions in Trowbridge (Tuesday), Melksham (Wednesday) and Bradford on Avon (Thursday and Sunday).
