The summer fete at Churchfields Village School in Atworth saw masses of people turn up to take part in the range of activities laid on for visitors' enjoyment.
Saturday’s event, organised by the PTA for the Atworth school as well as their Monkton Farleigh site, raised £2,200, which will contribute towards play equipment and future trips for pupils.
Headteacher Steven Bennett said: “We feel extremely lucky to have such a dedicated and enthusiastic group of parent supporters behind events such as this.
“It was a brilliant day and it was the largest number of people come along that we have ever had in all the years it has been running, which is over 10 years at least.”
Mr Bennett said that as well as a silent auction, with prizes donated by local companies, there was a coconut shy, football games, singing and stalls.
