More than 70 jobs will be created in Chippenham within the next few months when a new care home opens in the town.
The new home at Cepen Park in West Cepen Way will be run by Elaine Andrews of Avery Healthcare and has 63 beds catering for residential and dementia care.
Mrs Andrews is a well known figure in care circles in Wiltshire after she joined the industry in 1999.
She said she was delighted to have been appointed to the new home.
“Cepen Lodge has hotel-like facilities and the staff have a passion for working with older people and giving them everything they need to live an independent life,” she said.
“This is very much a 21st century care home and our caring is driven to providing what the individual wants.
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to manage an outstanding care home together with joining Avery which is such a forward thinking and innovative company.”
