Police divers will resume their search of the River Avon in Bath for missing Melksham designer Casper Flagg in the new year.
Divers have spent the days leading up to Christmas trawling the river for any sign of Mr Flagg, but have now suspended the search until the new year.
Avon and Somerset Police said the postponement was only temporary.
There has still been no sign of the 28-year-old, who was last seen leaving Moles nightclub in Bath, at about 2.30am on November 29, but he was spotted on CCTV in the city at about 4.55am Mr Flagg, who lives in Radstock with his parents, works as a designer at Melksham firm Playforce, which is in Pegasus Way, Bowerhill.
As well as those who knew Mr Flagg, people from all over the country have been joining in the search and posting their contributions on a Facebook group, set up by his family and close friends.
One post on the group page read: “This uncertainty must be devastating for the family and friends especially at this time of year when we like to have our loved ones close.
“I live in Suffolk but if there is anything I can do please ask.”
Another was posted by a lady from West London, who said she was also trying to do all she could to get the message out there and urge people to find Mr Flagg.
Mr Flagg is described as having short brown hair, he is about 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build, slight west country accent and sometimes wears glasses.
Anyone with any information should call 0845 4567000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
