Southwick farm tragedy man named

A 62-year-old man who was crushed to death by a piece of machinery at a farm in Southwick, near Trowbridge, yesterday has been named.

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called out to Greenhill Farm at 10.45am yesterday, after Dennis Pocock became stuck under a metal-cutting lathe.

Despite the efforts of paramedics to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Pocock is thought to be from the Trowbridge area.

Dennis was one of the nicest men you could ever meet. He had a heart of gold and myself and my family will miss him deeply. Goodbye Dennis xx
