Devizes care centre faces objection

Devizes Town Council is objecting to the proposed Primary Care Centre and retirement village on land next to Quakers Walk.
The council’s planning committee met on Tuesday night and was concerned about the impact it will have on traffic in London Road, which is already congested, and the low number of parking spaces planned for the Primary Care Centre.
Tony Sedgwick, traffic advisor to The Trust for Devizes, told the meeting that the centre should have 250 parking spaces instead of the 66 planned.
Roundway Parish Council, which met on Monday night, also expressed concern about the impact of the development on traffic and parking but deferred making a decision until it received more information.

It doesn't matter anyway as the NHS people will do what they want and won't listen to anyone who disagrees with them.
