BRADFORD Town manager Paul Shanley confessed that his side’s win over Clevedon United on Saturday was “awful”.
Dave Percival’s second-half goal was enough to give Bradford the win but boss Shanley says that the game was the worst he’d seen all season.
“It was a really poor game and I was half expecting that everyone at the ground might have left when I came back out of the changing rooms at half time,” said the Bradford manager.
“We looked very lethargic and we lacked commitment but somehow we’ve won the game.
“The result is the main positive we’ll take out of it.”
Bradford stole the points midway through the second-half when Matt Cooper flicked on Liam Milburn’s corner.
Striker Percival was on hand at the far post to poke the ball home and give his side the win.
Jamie Jordan should return for Shanley’s next squad after being away on Wiltshire U18 duty last weekend.
They go to struggling Chard Town on Tuesday.
