Mum-of-two Terry Stokes died suddenly last week from a burst artery in her brain, aged 49.
Mrs Stokes, of Balmoral Close, Chippenham, collapsed and died last Wednesday.
Husband Phil, 53, who tried desperately to revive her, has thanked ambulance crews who arrived on the scene within six minutes.
He was upstairs when his wife, who had not been ill, had returned home after walking the dog.
“Our son Daniel came home and all of a sudden I heard this yelling,” he said.
“When I came downstairs he was trying to wake her up. I tried to give her mouth to mouth while Daniel dialled 999.”
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was also called but Mrs Stokes was pronounced dead at 5.30pm.
Mrs Stokes used to be a dinner lady at Frogwell School which her children, Lisa, 23, and Daniel, 20, attended.
Former Frogwell colleague Pat Hurcomb said: “She was always out and about with her dog TJ and she was always smiling.
“We all have so many very happy memories of her – she was just a lovely girl.”
Friend Lynda Bloomfield said: “Terry was shy, but had a very dry sense of humour once you got to know her.”
