Brush up on skills for Wootton Bassett Arts Festival

Wootton Bassett Arts Festival is offering classes in poetry writing and speech and drama in the run-up to the festival in June.

The classes will take place in the town library, with the poetry classes being run by Sue Chadd, a local poet, and the speech and drama by teacher Sandra McDowell.

The poetry classes will take place on Wednesday April 7 and the drama sessions on the following Friday.

Miranda Shirnia, marketing director of the festival, said: “We have organised these sessions to give people who have not taken part in a festival before the chance to try out their skills in advance.”

Places are free, but must be booked in advance by calling the library on (01793) 853249.
