Carrot buns, bread pudding and other wartime rations were cooked up by children at a Trowbridge primary school on Tuesday.
A mammoth cookathon was held in Holbrook Primary School’s hall as 230 pupils got the chance to cook.
Reception pupils created superhero sandwiches, including wacky combinations like jam and ham, while the next age group conjured up food from the Caribbean, as they are studying different countries around the world.
Years 4 to 6 made wartime rations as part of their Second World War project, which saw them visit Trowbridge Museum last week.
The cookathon is the second of three community events being held at Holbrook this year, after the school was awarded a £1,000 Lottery grant to spend over three years, under the Let’s Get Cooking scheme.
