Chippenham man Martin Sugden appeared at North West Magistrates Court in Chippenham this morning charged with the murder of gym instructor Donavan van Lill.
The 41-year-old was arrested on Friday afternoon, and this morning magistrates set a date for a crown court hearing.
Sugden, of Clanville Bar in Stanton St Quintin, will appear at Bristol Crown Court on April 6 at 9.45am.
No bail was granted.
