Man accused of two Chippenham rapes

A man has been remanded in custody accused of kidnapping and raping two women in the Chippenham area.

Jonathan Haynes is also charged with trying to kidnap two 15-year-old girls in a village to the north east of the town.

The 29-year-old is also accused of raping a woman at the University of Glamorgan in South Wales.

Haynes, who gave an address in Northampton, was appearing before a judge at Swindon Crown Court on Friday facing a number of charges.

He spoke only to confirm his name during the 25- minute hearing.

No charges were formally put to him and he did not enter any pleas.

It is alleged that he raped a woman twice at the university on September 26 last year.

Just under two weeks earlier he is said to have kidnapped a woman in Chippenham and raped her twice.

On February 6 he is accused of trying to kidnap two 15-year-old girls close to Chippenham.

The following month he is accused of kidnapping and raping a woman twice in Chippenham.

He also faced ten charges of making and one of possessing indecent images of children between October last year and March 2010.

Judge Euan Ambrose adjourned the case to Friday November 5 when Haynes is due to enter his pleas to the charges and remanded him in custody until then.

What's the point in allowing the general public to leave comments on this particular thread when all the G & H will do is remove them when somebody makes an off-hand remark?

Did they even allow posting on the Gipsy subject?

They are inconsistent about their moderation.

So....what to talk about....um
I know....yes, I am fed up of walking up Chippenham high st and being hassled by do-gooders/hairy marys/rug-munchers/s
tudents and general vegetarian types who wish to have my bank details to fund some charity or other. They have been fully trained to ignore my Meldrewesque scowl and my 'don't bother asking' persona that I strive so hard to convey.
They keep coming, day after day in droves. Last week a particularly hairy one blocked my way and said 'hello sir, can I show you a majic trick?'
I said yes, 'make yourself dissappear.'

These proffesional clipboard holding beggars, are taught how to part the weak willed, the dim, and the innocent, from their money in the name of charity. They should be banned.

Or in government..

As for the story. I shall eat a little humble pie, as I thought the girls were making it up because they were home late. - It seems allegedly that there was a nut-case out there. let that be a lesson too me.

Or 'to' me...

They shouldn't be banned Roy, they should be classfied as 'game'. I mean it is more sporting than chasing a fox with dogs!

As for this story I vaguely remember it. Is this the two girls who were out at silly 'o' clock at night?

That's the one (or the two)

That's the spirit! Don't mention the story at all and the heavy handed mob who moderate this site won't press the delete button again. Probably.

I may have a go at this on Sunday.
Malabar Prawn Curry.
ingredients
• 4 tbsp coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
• ½ tsp black mustard seeds
• ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
• 1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
• 12 curry leaves, fresh or dried
• 3 small red onions, finely chopped
• 1 tsp chilli powder
• 1 tbsp ground coriander
• ¼ tsp ground turmeric
• 150g tomato, chopped
• 1 tbsp kokum (or 20ml tamarind pulp)
• 12 king prawns, peeled
• 400ml coconut milk
• 2 dried red chillies
.

serves serves 2
1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a frying pan, and when it’s almost smoking, add half the mustard seeds, the fenugreek, ginger and half the curry leaves. Stir-fry for a few seconds, then add the onion and cook over a medium heat until it’s dark golden.
2. Add the chilli powder, coriander and turmeric, and stir for a few seconds. Add the tomato and kokum (or tamarind). Simmer until slightly reduced and you can start to see oil separating from the sauce. Add a few tablespoons of water to get the sauce back to the consistency it was before, season with salt and add the prawns. Simmer until the prawns are cooked and the sauce is quite dry. Then add the coconut milk, bring back to boil and turn the heat down to low.
3. In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil, the dried chillies, and remaining mustard seeds and curry leaves. Fry for 10 seconds or so, then tip into the curry. Serve with basmati rice.

That looks a good recipe, Roy. I'm into a bit of Indian cooking myself and the only ingredient I don't have on the above list is the black mustard seeds. It took me a long time to track down someone who actually stocks coconut oil but it was worth the search.
.
Your recipe is now on the Calnetalk.com forum. Cheers. ;-)

Well glad you like it Triton, the only ingredient on the list I have is the vegetable oil so I may get stuck quite quickly. This is not my recipe and I admit to borrowing it from a website.

I've got a quick curry book that does away with such large ingredients lists. Written by an Indian Girl at work, it produces authentic curries with minimal kitchen time, as befits a working mother. The sort of food the target of this story hopefully wont be eating for a long time.
