Nearly 100 runners took part in the Mayoral Fun Run in Wootton Bassett to raise money for Age UK.
Ninety-nine runners completed the 5km route from Ballards Ash Sports Ground past Jubilee Lake and through the High Street on August 29.
Mayor Mary Champion was pleased to see so many families taking part.
She said: “It was a very good turn out, 99 runners is quite a lot.
“It was lovely to see so many children completing the course.
“There was a very nice family atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a good time.”
The race was won by 16-year-old Simon Nott of Calne, who created a new course record time of 16 minutes and 12 seconds.
Mrs Champion chose Age UK to be the beneficiary of the run because of her own work with elderly people.
She said: “I chose the Wootton Bassett branch of Age UK because I work with old people and I’m aware of all the hard work they do.
“A lot of people don’t realise that there are many elderly people on their own who need help with shopping and other things.
“Age UK does a lot of that work and deserves all the help it can get.”
She added: “I turned 60 this year, so now that I’m a pensioner I might be in need of the charity’s services myself.”
