More than 60 businesses in and around Devizes have pledged to collect money during the ‘pink’ week for Cancer Research UK.
The week runs from October 9 and the local fund-raising committee hopes to raise £3,000 for breast cancer research.
Clive Boyes, committee chairman, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the interest and support from our local businesses. There will be a whole host of activities taking place during the week from dinner dances, pink coffee mornings through to cash collections.”
Outside of Devizes the Lydeway farm shops, Allied Healthcare, beauty therapist Sally Robathan-Haywood, The Green Dragon at Market Lavington, The Bridge at West Lavington and Heads on High at Littleton Panel lare all taking part.
Resident Catherine Drage of Edward Road, Devizes, has organised a fund-raising dance at Wiltshire Police headquarters in London Road on October 16. Tickets are £15. If you would like to raise money during the week contact Bo Miles-Hobbs on (01380) 813092.
