The African theme went with a bang when the new term began at Dauntsey’s Aided Primary School in West Lavington.
Pupils had a visit from Senegalese performer Oumar Sagma, who displayed the skills of African drumming, dancing and singing.
Head teacher Rob Lakin said: “We wanted the children to have an experience to inspire and motivate them as they embark on their African topic, and they certainly had that.”
An open day is being held next Thursday, November 11, for parents of next year’s pupil intake. It starts at 9.30am.
