Devizes police have appealed for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident in the town when an older woman was hit by a car and sustained a broken knee.
The woman was walking past the Total Garage in Northgate Street at about midday on October 25 when she was hit by the car which did not stop.
Passers by went to her assistance and she was taken to hospital.
Police investigations have not found the driver of the vehicle which hit her and they have made a public appeal for help.
PC Cathy Charlton of Devizes police said: “I would like to hear from anyone whowas in the area at the time and witnessed the incident.
“I would also like to speak to the kind person who assisted the lady as they may have some information that would assist in my investigation.”
