Ben Strange, nine, from Chippenham won a bucket of chocolates in last week’s Halloween quiz.
He was given the chocolates by by mayor Sandra Oakes.
Children taking part in the competition, which was run by the town’s tourist information centre and museum, posted their entries in a vintage post box donated by Bath Museum.
David Dorey of the tourist information centre said: “We had two competitions running, a quiz and a colouring competition.
“They always prove popular with the children.
“Ben did very well to win the quiz and six-year-old Jake Gaskell won the colouring competition.”
The special postbox is now being used as a drop off point for letters to Father Christmas.
Children who post a letter with a stamp on it will get a reply from Santa himself in Reindeer Land.
