CHILDREN at St Catherine’s School have been learning how to stay safe online – and passing on the wisdom to their parents.
The primary school, in Stratton St Margaret, took part in a national safety initiative yesterday, which included a performance by pupils on how to be smart online.
The web-savvy children also passed on advice to parents who were in the audience for the show.
Teacher Claire Morgan, responsible for ICT and e-safety, said: “It went really well, the children enjoyed it and learnt a lot of different skills.
“They all found out something different which was relevant for their age group.
“For example the older children found out about their digital footprint, while the younger ones talked about the funny feeling you get in your tummy when you talk to someone you don’t know.
“The children loved it and learnt a lot.”
