The series of Penguin books on the Buildings of England written by Nikolas Pevsner between 1951-74 quickly became the standard work on English architecture.
Now the series is being revised, and Andrew Foyle, an independent historian and researcher, will talk on Saturday at 2.30pm about how he took a fresh look at Frome for his part in the work.
The talk to the Frome Society for Local Study and Frome and District Civic Society is open to all at the Assembly Rooms behind the Memorial Theatre in Christchurch Street West, Frome, and costs £2 for non members.
