EQUESTRIAN: Pony Club claim Open crown

THE VWH Hunt Pony Club have won the 2012 Open Pony Club Eventing Championships.
This year’s national championships were held at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire last weekend.
The team of James Norris,16, from South Marston , Alice Bibby,17, from Swindon, Pumbaa Goess Saurau, 15, from Marlborough and Anna Horton, 16, from Swindon all jumped clear cross country inside the time, having earlier in the day produced some stunning dressage tests and good show jumping rounds.
Saurau and Bibby also won their individual sections.
Alice was awarded the Open Eventing Bursary for her excellent cross country round and the team have won the HSBC Elite Training day with William Fox Pitt and Mary King.
