Lacock's streets were taken over by family entertainment and more than 70 stalls selling various crafts for the village’s annual street fair on Bank Holiday Monday.

Around 3,000 people attended the all-day event which raised about £2,000 for St Cyriac’s Church and local good causes.

Highlights of the day included morris dancing and performances by Chippenham Town Band.

Graham Heard, chairman of the fair committee, said: “We were very lucky with the weather – so many people turned up and all seemed to have a great day.

“There were lots of different things going on to keep everyone entertained. I’d like to thank the local residents of the village, who moved their cars off the streets and gave the event great support, as without their backing the fair can’t really happen or be a success.”

Other attractions on the day included face painting, archery workshops and a wide selection of refreshments including a hog roast.
