Imber village to open for annual service

The Church of St Giles in the deserted village of Imber will be open to the public on Saturday, September 29, for its annual St Gilestide Service, the first conducted by new vicar Mark Jones.
The service is at 3pm, but the church will be open from 10am to 4pm, then from noon to 4pm the next day, when ringers aim to ring a full peal of 5,040 changes on the bells.
