TOM Ponting’s eye for goal proved the difference as Liden won a see-saw Under 10 League Cup battle with Wroughton .
Wroughton took the lead in the ninth minute thanks to an Ollie Barker goal but Ponting pulled a goal back for Liden five minutes after the break.
Alfie Barker restored Wroughton’s advantage before Ponting levelled again and Sam Morse put them into the lead for the first time.
Adam Carter pulled Wroughton level again but Ponting swooped late to seal his hat-trick and a place in the next round for Liden.
Highworth Town Juniors T secured a 4-2 cup win over Wanborough Juniors at the Rec.
Drew Ellis and James Whettam put the Reds 2-0 up at half-time before Wanborough’s Tom Moore grabbed a brace to level. Goals from Owen Baker-Smith and another from Whettam put the hosts through.
Ewan Burrows scored Stratton Juniors Orange’s consolation in their 2-1 defeat to FC Chippenham.
Swindon Rangers scored nine past Stratton's player of the match Dylan Diamond, with Callum Lewis scoring a consolation goal.
UNDER 11 LEAGUE CUP
FC Chippenham started their cup campaign with a 23-1 win over a spirited Northern Lights team.
Finding the net for FC Chippenham were Josh Archer (5), Callum Sandell (3), Matt Billett (3), Eddie Slee (2), Ben Sheppard (2), Ollie Derrick (2), Daniel Leaney (2), Liam Farion (2), Fin Hiscox and Clark Luke.
Shaw FC booked their place in the next round with Jack Laughlin (4), Jude River Collins (3), Cameron Bond (3), Jack Hulbert (2), Harvey Lloyd and Malachi Cotter scoring in a 14-0 victory at Pewsey.
UNDER 14 LEAGUE CUP
Cup holders FC Calne progressed to the second round, beating Avondale United 7-3.
A hat-trick from Aaron Holbrook and goals from Tom Johnstone, Jake Lang and Ryan Withers secured progression.
Croft turned around a half-time deficit to book their place in the next round of the League Cup.
Ferndale deservedly took the lead through Keiran Cozens but Croft improved and close range strikes from Conlan Mann and Brandon Sardo saw them through.
Ryan Collins’ double and an acrobatic Jack Rawlings goal put Brinkworth Cats through, 3-1 at FC Calne Tigers’ expense.
Connor Seymour (2) and Keelan Boyce scored in Sevenfields United’s 4-3 loss to Wanborough Juniors.
UNDER 15 LEAGUE CUP
Supermarine took the lead against Blunsdon Colts thanks to a header by Callum Cook from a Daniel Harry corner.
Ayus Darlami came off the bench to score a second with his first touch and Sam Hunt made it 3-0 with a powerful shot from outside the box before Blunsdon pulled back a consolation goal.
UNDER 16 LEAGUE CUP
Swindon Supermarine defeated Blunsdon 16-2 with Evan Costello (4), Kieran O'Daly (3), Finn Wilkinson (2), Zak Sawford (2), Jake Green, Antonio Gerrish, Nathan Smith, Luca Michienzi, and Callum Wells netting.
UNDER 9 DIVISION 1
Croft beat visitors Chippenham 3-0. George Knee opened the scoring in the first half, with Adam King’s second-half brace cementing the victory.
UNDER 9 DIVISION 2
A hard-fought match between Wroughton Youth Blue and Liden Community Green was settled midway through the second half via Liden’s Danny Aldred's great run and finish.
UNDER 10 DIVISION 1
Ellis Kerrigan Ritchie, Rowan Doyle and Max Whitfield scored for Greenmeadow in their 3-0 victory over Highworth.
UNDER 10 DIVISION 3
Louis Jeremiah’s stunning strike could not prevent FC Abbey Meads losing 3-1 to Pewsey Vale.
Highworth Town Juniors T got a great 3-1 away win against Swindon Supermarine.
Tye Lennon opened the scoring and man of the match Cameron Hicks popped up to make it 2-0 after the break.
Supermarine pulled one back but an own goal sealed the points for Highworth.
UNDER 11 DIVISION 1
Ferndale Rodbourne Pumas put in a fine performance against champions Swindon Rangers, going down 2-1 with Corey Adams scoring for the Pumas.
Jack Payne kept up his impressive start to the season with six goals as Highworth Town Juniors H beat Croft Juniors 10-1.
Ethan Parker added three more goals and Dylan Boulton completed the scoring Under 12 Division 1 Swindon Rangers A took the points with a 6-2 win over Ferndale.
Toby Kutassy and a first-half double from Joe Tyson put Rangers in charge but Leon Summers and Bailey Gallagher put Ferndale back in the game before the break.
Tyson completed his hat-trick after the interval and goals from Finley Merchant and a fine individual effort from Shaun Wilkinson sealed victory.
Swindon Supermarine L beat FC Calne 5-2 with Ryan Harris, Cavern Alford, Oliver Burt, Zachary Grounsell and Jack Townsend all grabbing a goal apiece.
UNDER 12 DIVISION 3
Highworth twice came back from a goal down to draw 2-2 with Swindon Supermarine G as Ethan Hughes and Michael Uzzel both added to their goal tally.
Ferndale Rodbourne Colts earned a 2-0 win against Croft Blue courtesy of Joshua Haynes and Neo Heath and Connor Carpenter’s excellent goalkeeping display.
UNDER 13 DIVISION 2
Wroughton Youth defeated Wickham 5-2 with two goals for Jo Marshall and one each from Tyler Fitchett, Sam Lewis and Riegan Cook.
Highworth just edged their game against Shrivenham and Watchfield, 5-3. An Adam Robbins hat-trick, along with goals from Lewis Haines and Jake Wilkins sealed the points.
Eldene Rangers beat Brinkworth 8-0 with Tyler Cobb grabbing a hat-trick and further goals coming from Taylor Smague, Gary O’Reilly, Harvey Ritchie, Luke Gay and Charlie Carter.
Blunsdon Colts shared the points with Stratton having gone behind twice. Jack Ahrens scored both of the Colts goals in a 2-2 draw.
