FARINGDON Town slipped up 3-1 at AFC Wallingford in the North Berks League Division One on Saturday.

Gary Sutton scored for Faringdon but it never looked like being enough, as James Newport’s two strikes and one from Ashley Searle handed Wallingford the three points.

Abingdon United Reserves are the new leaders in Division Two following a 9-2 thumping of Coleshill United.

Chris Hooper hit three, Dan Cox and Steve Pitson both struck twice, with Wayne Herbert and Ryan Johnson also scoring.

Coleshill replied through Sam Rees and Mark Simpkins.

Lambourn Sports Reserves hit eight without reply at home to Drayton, with Richard Guy and Damian Harris bagging a brace apiece alongside goals from Sam Connors, Steve Rackham, Rocky Rowbottom and Kennan Dundas.

Goals from Jason Evans, Troy Redman, James Tyler and David Cole gave Faringdon Town Reserves a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Blewbury to keep their perfect record intact at the top of Division Three.

In Division Four, Grove Rangers saw their perfect start come to an end being held to a 2-2 draw by Coleshill United Reserves.

Matt Cramp and Luke Alder scored for Grove, John Keane and James Head for Coleshill.

Faringdon Town A won 3-1 at Crowmarsh Gifford Reserves in Division Five, thanks to goals from Dan Pugh, Darryl Pugh and Luke Barrett.

James Ham netted for the home side.
