JAMES Scollen scored twice for Castle Combe Colts Blacks as they opened their U9 Red Division season in fine style with a 4-1 win at Trowbridge Town Panthers. Luca Bailey and Josh Mitchell were also on target for the visitors.
U10 Blue Division
WARMINSTER Highbury Reds got their season off to a good start with a 3-2 home win against Chippenham Town Youth. Louis Bombroff and Ed Opie scored for Chippenham.
U10 Green Division
A GOAL apiece from Sam Alford, Rio Young, Billy Hawkins and Jaiden Pearce saw home side Melksham United Tornadoes to a 4-1 win against Derry Hill United.
U10 Red Division
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth Tigers ran out 3-2 winners at home against Melksham United Typhoons with goals from Ollie Scott, James Gordon and Josh Timbrell.
U10 Yellow Division
THE game between home side FC Calne and Westbury Youth Spitfires was played sportingly, Calne taking the lead through Spencer Smart midway through the first half with an outstanding strike from 25 yards.
The second half saw the Spitfires push hard for the equaliser and they were rewarded when a shot from Colin Wightmans was stopped but the rebound fell to Finn Wrintmore, who scored from close range.
Westbury’s workrate paid off when with 10 minutes to go when George Howe completed an excellent passage of team play and scored the winner.
U11 Red Division
WARMINSTER Highbury gave a solid team performance for their 5-3 away win against home side Trowbridge Wanderers Black.
Matthew Henley twice and Alex Holmes scored for Wanderers.
U11 Yellow Division
FC CHIPPENHAM hosted local rivals Chippenham Town Youth and came out on top with a 5-2 win.
FC Chippenham had two goals each from Jake Bailey and Ethan Harding, plus Toby Fenton effort to thank.
U12 Blue Division
TROWBRIDGE Wanderers ran out convincing 9-2 winners at home against Mere after taking a 3-1 lead at the interval.
Wanderers’ goals came from Joe Page, Seb Hounsell, William Smart, a brace from Kubilay Devanney, a hat-trick from Stephan Aland and one from William Smart – his first goal for the club since joining more than a year ago.
U12 Red Division
DERRY Hill got off the mark with a 4-2 away win against Malmesbury.
Finn Writmore and George Haine scored for Derry Hill with Charlie Martin replying twice for Malmesbury.
U13 Blue Division
MERE got off to a good start in their away game against Melksham United Hurricanes, taking a 1-0 lead into the second half.
The Hurricanes equalised soon after the restart before going on to lead 3-1.
Mere continued to push forward being reward with a second goal. Jack Baker, twice, and Jack Hillier scored for Melksham.
Trowbridge Town Youth Black kept a clean sheet in their home opener against Devizes Town Youth to run out 6-0 winners.
Zak Harvey, Hugo Ives twice, Zak Berryman, Ben Phillips and Rhys Talmash scored for Trowbridge.
U14 Green Division
THE game between home side Worton & Cheverell and Malmesbury Youth was closely fought with Worton having the edge 2-1, Brandon Smith and Austin Coleman on target.
U14 Red Division
BROMHAM controlled most of the first half in their home game against Bradford Town Youth, taking a 5-2 lead at the interval.
They went on to finish 7-2 winners with goals from Ryan Collins, Alexander Henrick, Daniel Smart, Ben Martin and a hat-trick from Sam Wallis.
U14 Blue Division
WESTBURY Youth started their campaign brightly away to last seasons Division One runners up Bradford.
Mattie Mantay scored twice before Bradford hit back to level.
Bradford took the lead in the second half, but Owen Adams and Josh Whitehead sealed victory for Westbury.
U15 Blue Division
OLIVER Dew and Sam Robins both scored for home side Trowbridge Town Youth in their game against Bradford Town Youth.
Melksham United Hurricanes were on form, taking a 3-1 win in their away game against Warminster Highbury, for whom Alex Coleman-Waddington scored.
U15 Red Division
DEVIZES Town Youth ran out 2-1 winners at home against Melksham United Tornadoes, Oliver Graham scoringd both for Devizes with Toby Benning-Batstone replying for Melksham.
U18 Division
FC CALNE and visitors Bradford Town produced an end to end game with plenty of goals and an end result of 10-3 to the home side.
Curtis Rees scored four times for Calne, Harry Warner and Kyran Gleed adding doubles and Rory Worthington and an own goal completing the scoring.
