Cars collide causing injuries near Chitterne

A Peugeot 308 and Vauxhall Amiga collided on the B390 near Chitterne at around 1.40pm on Sunday, injuring both drivers.

A Warminster woman, driving the Peugeot, and a Somerset man, driving the Vauxhall, were taken by ambulance to Salisbury District Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed between Knook Camp and Chitterne town centre for just over two hours while the emergency services dealt with the scene.

I have not been down Chitterne way for some years but even so I am surprised it has achieved town status. :)
