The children at Bubbles Pre-school in Pewsey are fizzing with excitement after seeing their self- portraits in a shop window and winning a top prize in Pewsey Carnival.
Their drawings, at Wootton’s hardware shop in North Street, near the pre-school’s Wesley Hall base, have won the cup for best window display during the carnival fortnight.
Pre-school manager Michelle Thompson said the children were even more delighted when they heard their photograph would be in the Gazette.
The children each drew a self-portrait to which the pre-school staff added a quote from each child.
“This was the first thing we have ever won, so we are all very happy,” said Mrs Thompson. “They were thrilled to see their pictures in Wootton’s window and we were amazed to hear we had won.”
Bubbles is appealing for good top-soil to go on its new vegetable garden. If you can help, call Mrs Thompson on 07407 225445, mornings only.
