DEVON Bryan scored five times including four in the first half as Purton Reserves romped to a 6-2 triumph over Wilts Calne Town in the Wiltshire Premier.
The result leaves the Red House side third in the standings behind Bradford and Chippenham but just a point off the pace.
Striker Bryan opened his account when he latched onto a ball over the top and converted, with his second arriving soon after in similar fashion.
Calne pulled one back but Bryan completed his hat-trick with a penalty, and added his fourth a couple of minutes later.
Although the Bremhill View outfit again replied before the interval, Bryan added his second penalty soon after the resumption.
With around 10 minutes to go, good work from Tom McCulloch allowed substitute Rob Curtis to convert.
Purton even had a goal disallowed to take their tally to seven, but in the end were more than content with a 6-2 victory.
Boss Albert Dearing said afterwards: “The first half was very close but in the second half we gave a very disciplined performance.
“They had spells and we had spells, but we were a bit more ruthless. In the second half we controlled the game and basically shut it down.
“For Devon to get four in the first half alone was amazing, and he has eight in two games now. All our strikers are taking it in turns to score which is great.”
Elsewhere in the division, top side Bradford slipped up at home to Southbrook, drawing 2-2.
Marlborough triumphed 4-0 at Devizes, while Beversbrook picked up a point in their 0-0 draw at Corsham.
Blyskawica were thumped 6-2 by Shrewton and struggling Wroughton lost 3-2 at Ludgershall.
In Division One, Madames kept their stranglehold on the summit with a 5-0 crushing of Wilton, having been 4-0 up going into half time.
Malmesbury notched up a 6-0 victory at Marlborough to maintain their chase of top spot, but South Marston suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss at Intel.
The remaining fixtures saw Nalgo Wanderers win a 5-4 thriller against Marshfield, Ashton Keynes triumph 3-2 at Wootton Bassett and AFC Wroughton win 3-1 at Chippenham Park Reserves.
