LOCAL McDonald’s franchisee Paul Booth and his staff held a celebration in honour of the 10-year anniversary of the Watchfield McDonald’s restaurant in Swindon this weekend.

Paul and his staff welcomed the community to join the celebration and offered car washes and face painting, to help raise money for the local Ronald McDonald House.

The team collected a total of £119.79 on the day for the charity, which supports parents with sick children.

The restaurant first opened in September 2002 and since then Paul has created 68 jobs in the area.

Most recently, Paul invested £240,000 refurbishing the restaurant, which created 10 jobs.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating Watchfield McDonald’s 10th anniversary,” said Paul.

“I would like to thank all my staff, for displaying such enthusiasm every day. It’s great that so many of my staff have taken the opportunity to develop their skills and work their way up the career ladder over the last 10 years. With the help of my staff, we plan to continue our support for the community and offer a great service for customers for many years to come.”
