Wootton Bassett striker Mark Barnes marked his return to the side with a superb hat-trick away at North Leigh Reserves last night.
His treble helped Bassett see off North Leigh 5-0 in the Hellenic League Division One West clash.
Barnes gave Bassett the lead on 32 minutes and doubled their advantage shortly after.
Shaun Terry then added a third - his first goal since August 10th.
Barnes completed his hat-trick with 10 minutes remaining with defender Adam Corcoran making it 5-0 in the dying seconds.
The win lifts Dave Turner’s men up to third in the league, six points behind leaders Brimscombe and Thrupp.
Bassett will look to continue their fine form when they host Letcombe on Saturday.
