Meet the Dorothy House hospice team in Chippenham (From This Is Wiltshire)

Dorothy House Hospice Care will be supporting national Hospice Care Week by hosting events in five of their charity shops across the region.

Hospice Care Week, organised by Help The Hospices, will run from Monday, October 8 until Sunday, October 14 and Winsley based Dorothy House, who support people suffering life threatening illness, is determined to help the campaign.

They will be hosting events in their shops in Melksham, Chippenham, Warminster, Shepton Mallet and Bath to promote its various support services.

Dorothy House chief executive Sarah Whitfield said: “The aim of this week is to demonstrate that hospice care is more than just a building and with the majority of our work taking place away from our hospice in Winsley, we are keen to get out into the community to promote the wide scope of the work we do.

Physiotherapy staff will be at Dorothy House’s Chippenham furniture store, in The Bridge, between 2pm and 4pm on Monday, with the fundraising team attending between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday and Mrs Whitfield will be at the shop between 3pm and 5pm on Thursday.
