WHEN the contestants on The X Factor are voted off one by one each week, they can look forward to a consolation prize in Swindon.

Just four days after they are told their dreams of winning the popular competition are over, they will be heading to Bushwackers in Fleet Street.

The town centre nightclub has secured a deal which will see rejected contestants take the stage for a 30-minute Thursday evening performance.

Sara Quinn, of Bushwackers, said: “We are so, so excited – we are absolutely buzzing.

“I got a phone call to confirm the news when I was on holiday and I was so excited I could barely breathe.

“Our management team sit down every so often and think of ideas of how we can put Bushwackers and Swindon on the map. We always provide a good night out and we have absolutely loved having all the people from The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea.

“But at the end of the day, people go clubbing for the music so we thought why not get something that the whole of the UK is wild about and get the X Factor contestants?

“We rang some contacts and now it has been confirmed we can’t believe it.”

Each act will perform for 30 minutes and will pose for 30 photographs with people in the VIP area from October 11 until Christmas.

Sara added:“We are expecting every night to be a full house. This is absolutely massive for us and we think people will travel from other towns like Bath and Bristol.

“It will be £3 entry for students and £5 for others.”
