NORTH BERKS LEAGUE: Faringdon progress in cup

GOALS from Charlie Bodie, Gary Sutton and Matt Pill gave Division One side Faringdon Town a comfortable 3-0 win at Division Four league leaders Hanney United in the North Berks Cup.

Shane Blake netted for Division Two side Coleshill United, but they went down 3-1 at Division One side Long Wittenham Athletic, who scored through Adam Bailey, Ryan Scott and Matt Saunders.

In league action, goals from James Tyler and Jason Evans were enough to give Faringdon Town Reserves a 2-1 win over Milton United Reserves, preserving their 100 per cent record in Division Three.

In Division Five, Lee Quegan hit the back of the net five times for Faringdon Town A as they beat Hagbourne United Reserves 7-3.

Also on target for Faringdon were Lee Ruddle and Justin Yates.
