Devizes solicitor Kathryn Smith Cowap has won the title of Wiltshire’s Young Solicitor of the Year.
The award was made by the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Incorporated Law Society.
Mrs Smith Cowap, 30, who works in the wills, tax, trusts and probate team at Wansbroughs, said: “I was surprised and delighted to be honoured with this award.
“I thoroughly enjoy the work that I do. I particularly like the challenge and variety, from offering detailed tax planning advice to assisting a family administer the estate of a loved one. I can spend the morning advising an elderly client on planning for the future and the afternoon researching the death of a war hero to ensure tax exemptions are claimed.”
Mrs Smith Cowap, who lives in Devizes and went to Stonar School, Atworth, joined Wans-broughs as a paralegal in 2008 and qualified as a solicitor in 2010.
