Kicking off to help charities in Trowbridge

A charity football match at Lambrok playing fields, Trowbridge, will raise funds for three charities tomorrow.
The event, between Travis Perkins All Stars and the Chris Penelhum Invitation 11, kicks off at 2.30pm. Half the money raised will go to the firm’s charities, Breast Cancer Campaign and Together for Short Lives.
Robbie Newton, assistant manager of the Melksham branch, has organised a series of events this year and donations have topped £2,500.
Part of the match money will go to testicular cancer charity It’s In the Bag, as Mr Newton’s friend, Chris Penelhum, is recovering from the illness.
Mr Newton said: “Half will go to the charities Travis Perkins supports and half will go to It’s in the Bag.” To donate, visit http:// uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ RobbieNewton
