Wessex Chambers of Commerce have unveiled a new support package which aims to helps small businesses in the region expand.

To mark the announcement they will hold a series of events across Wiltshire allowing companies to find out more.

The organisation, which represents 19 chambers of commerce in the county, want to offer support to small businesses during difficult economic times.

Rob Perks, chief executive of Wessex Chambers, said: “Over the past few months we have been working hard to put together an exciting new range of products and services aimed at growing and supporting businesses in Wiltshire.

“This includes all the essential services a business requires but perhaps cannot always afford from human resources, tax and legal advice to bookkeeping and marketing.”

In addition to the new package, Wessex Chambers will also offer discounted services to member businesses such a sickness income replacement scheme allowing every worker to benefit from sick pay for up to a year, guaranteed savings on card terminal rates, business insurance, medical insurance, mobile phone contracts and credit reports amongst others.

To mark the launch of the new support package, and its connected services, the group will be holding four open events for business representatives.

Elaine Harvey, Wessex communications and marketing manager, said: “We believe these new services will provide excellent value to our members and we invite everyone who runs a business to join us at one of our free information road shows to find out exactly what is on offer.

“Many of our product providers will be on hand to answer any questions and it would be a great opportunity to meet the team working on behalf of businesses at the chambers.

The first event will be held at Wiltshire Music Centre, in Bradford on Avon, at 4pm, on Wednesday, November 7

The next event after this will be at Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, in Salisbury, at 4pm on Tuesday, November 13.

The roadshow will then be at Castle Combe Racing Circuit on Wednesday, November 14, with the final information session being held at Marlborough Golf Club on Tuesday, November 20. Both events start at 4pm.
