BASSETT Bulldogs’ Chris Edwards put in the performance of the week in the Swindon and District League as he scored a perfect hat-trick in his side’s 6-3 victory at Swindon Spitfires.
Edwards scored with his left foot, right foot and head in the Division One game, which secured his side’s second victory of the season.
The league was the place for goals at the weekend, as Premier Division side AFC Globe were involved in a nine-goal thriller for the second week running, this time with Auto Engine Tune.
Globe eventually won 5-4, with both Ash Piotrowski and James Williams grabbing braces, and Jonjo Slattery scoring direct from a corner.
Auto Engine Tune’s Steve Winchcombe scored his side’s first goal to take his personal tally to 17 for the season, with the other goals coming from Wayne Savoury and two from Mike Lichota.
