ALL 250 tickets for the charity showing of the new James Bond film, Skyfall, in Devizes – the day before it is due to be released nationally – have been sold.

Lavinia Postlethwaite, of Allington, near Devizes, has organised the special screening at the Palace Cinema next Thursday, October 25, in aid of the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths.

Mrs Postlethwaite has been involved with the charity since she lost her daughter, Philippa, in 1982.

A delighted Mrs Postlethwaite said: “With the monies received for tickets, donations from individuals and local companies we have already made over £4,000 and if people are generous with their support for the fantastic raffle we have for the evening it could be more.

“Thanks to a lot of local shops in Devizes, I would hope that we might make £5,000 – fingers crossed.”

The £25 tickets include a reception with drinks and canapés at Scrummylicious.

Mrs Postlethwaite has also arranged to display outside the cinema a Honda CRF250R motorcycle similar to that used by one of the villains in the film and the Grange dealership is sending along a Jaguar XLJ, M’s choice of transport.
