Chance to be arty in half-term

A three-day youth arts project promises to keep children entertained in the half-term break in Melksham.

Children’s charity Splash is hosting free arts sessions for children between nine and 16, which will give them the chance to try a wide range of activities.

The sessions are being run by community arts group No Added Sugar, which specialises in producing art workshops for families and young people.

The Melksham Youth Development Centre is holding the event, which will give young people the chance to display their own work.

Painting, sculpting, stone carving and photography are all on offer at the sessions, which run from 10am- 3pm, from October 30, to November 1, and have been funded by the Melksham Area Board.

Splash has been operating in Wiltshire for 24 years, and is planning a range of activities across the county, including mountain biking, archery and urban dance.
