THE Duchess of Cornwall officially opened Swindon College's new North Star building earlier today.
Camilla Parker-Bowles' royal helicopter landed not far from the college and she arrived outside the building in a silver Lexus, closely followed by a team of bodyguards.
She spent two hours walking around the building, stopping to chat to students.
One of those was third year fine art student Hannah Brooks, 21.
"It was a real honour to speak to the Duchess," she said.
"I showed her my work and she seemed to be really interested in what we were doing."
After unveiling a plaque to commemorate her visit, the Duchess greeted the excited crowd who had gathered to catch a glimpse of royalty.
