FAIRTRADE Fortnight is coming to west Wiltshire with a series of events showcasing fairly traded products.

The theme of this year's fortnight, which runs from February 26 to March 11, is Change today - choose Fairtrade, and make a difference to the lives of millions of farmers in developing countries.

Warminster Fairtrade group is working to attain Fairtrade Town status and will inform people of the plans at a series of coffee mornings held in the museum room at Warminster library.

The coffee mornings take place between 10.30am and 11.30am from Monday to Thursday mornings during both weeks of the fortnight, and there is also a pasta lunch and Fairtrade sale at St John's Church Hall, Warminster on March 3 from 12pm to 2pm.

In the Warminster area the fortnight closes with a coffee morning and sale at Longbridge Deverill Village Hall on March 10 from 10am to 12pm.

A display and competition is running in Bradford on Avon library for the whole two weeks and other events include a coffee morning at the Quaker Meeting House, which is a Fairtrade church, on February 24 and tasting and a display at Sainsbury's from 10am to 2pm on March 3.

There is also a tasting session at Stones Mace Supermarket in Winsley Road on March 10, where Fairtrade leaflets will be handed out.
