PLANS for a £25m new supermarket in Chippenham will be submitted to North Wiltshire District Council soon.
Asda is hoping to create up to 500 jobs at its proposed store in Langley Park and the company has confirmed the planning application is now being finalised.
The store, which would be on two floors and stock a range of food and non-food items, is part of a proposed wider regeneration scheme for the Langley Park site being led by Ashtenne Industrial Fund Ltd.
The scheme also includes proposals for 180 new flats and houses.
Allison Darling, ASDA's property communications manager, said: "If our planning application in Chippenham is successful, we look forward to working with the local community to fill a range of roles within the new store."
