THE landlord of the Anchor and Hope pub, in Frome Road, Trowbridge, is due to appear in court later today over a homophobic sign that appeared outside the pub.
Adrian Taylor, 54, was summonsed to Chippenham magistrates' court for an offence under the Public Order Act.
The sign appeared outside the pub in May shortly before it was due to open under new ownership.
Previous landlords John Williams and his partner Lee made a formal complaint to police after spotting the handwritten sign outside the pub, which they felt was a homophobic reference to them.
