STUDENTS from Chippenham with a flair for enterprise are to face a Dragons' Den style panel in a competition to find the best idea for an innovative, ethical product.
Year 9 and 10 pupils from Abbeyfield School will compete in teams to develop and present their product ideas, with the winning team selected at the University of Bath's Enterprise Conference on Friday November 16.
The teams will first attend an Enterprise Activity Day tomorrow at the university for team-building activities and a presentation skills workshop.
They will also work with an undergraduate to help them develop their product idea.
Back at school, the pupils will polish their presentation ready for a school heat, to pitch their ideas to a Dragon's Den' made up of undergraduates from Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), an international student organisation that sets up projects to create economic opportunities for others.
The winning team will receive a trophy and prizes to take back to school.
The competition, entitled the Enterprise Enrichment Programme, is organised by the University's Widening Participation team, in partnership with the Students' Union.
