THIRTY-one sightings of big cats were reported in Wiltshire during 2007, say the Big Cats in Britain Group.
In total, the group logged 675 reports of apparent sightings from around the country last year.
It is more than 40 years since the first public spate of sightings hit the headlines with the Surrey Puma, yet the group is still no closer to solving the mystery.

The group average three sightings daily from all over the countryside and it is holding a conference at the Tropiquaria near Watchet, Somerset, on the weekend of March 7.
