A DOCTOR is hoping to raise funds for Dorothy House by running this year's London marathon.
Dr Sue Jones, 53, of Cheyney Walk, Westbury, trekked across Iceland last year for the hospice and is running her first ever marathon on April 13 for the charity.
Dr Jones told the Wiltshire Times: "My own mother passed away when I was a teenager and she has breast cancer and I was aware at the time that there wasn't a place like Dorothy House.

"So I've really wanted to support the hospice movement ever since.
"I started my training in the middle of November. I have done a charity run for the British heart foundation back in February and Salisbury ten-mile road race last month too.
"I am aiming to raise £1, 500. I think I will be on target for that. I have also written to some local businesses some who sponsored me for my trek in Iceland.
"I haven't done a marathon before. I think the furthest I had run before I started my training was the race for life run in Bath.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I really want to finish."
